Your solution for municipalities.

Developed once. Ordered many times.

We bring municipalities with the same demand together and develop the shared solution with them and with you.

Solutions exist. What is missing is the route to scale.

Municipalities have enormous demand, and good solutions have long existed. Still, they barely arrive, because every municipality plans, tenders and finances on its own.

Convincing every municipality one by one.

Every project starts with new conversations, new requirements, new decision-makers. Every time with the risk of ending up empty-handed.

Every tender is different.

Specifications rarely match finished solutions. You rebuild your solution for every municipality instead of developing it once for all.

The financing is missing.

Grants, private capital and municipal budgets do not come together. Many projects never start because the money is missing.

Together instead of one by one.

Municipalities with the same project describe together what they need. You bring your solution in and align it to that. The result is an open standard under which the municipalities tender jointly.

With municipalities that have real demand

You sit at the table with municipalities that have confirmed their project. They come for the shared solution, not for a presentation. Nobody has to be convinced.

One tender instead of a hundred

The municipalities tender jointly, under the standard you described together. You bid once and reach all of them.

One seat per area

Every solution consists of several areas, such as building, technology and operation. One provider per area sits at the table. You meet partners, not just competitors.

Who this is for.

For start-ups and companies that see their solution as part of a whole. Whether established in the market or at an early stage.
Start-ups
Prototype or first references: you want to know whether municipalities really need your solution, and proof of it that counts in your next round. Here you get both from municipalities that have the problem right now.
Companies
You have a proven solution or a new one that needs to reach the market. You want to deploy it in many municipalities without convincing each one, and you are ready to complement providers from other areas.

You are in good company.

Providers, municipalities and capital that back the approach.
„Healthy food belongs in every school and staff canteen. Our indoor garden is the answer, and we are bringing it to every city in Europe.“
Daniel Bosmann Founder and CEO, OurGreenery GmbH
„Green hydrogen, decentralised, right at the point of use: the solution is ready. My mission is scaling it.“
Hanno Balzer Senior Vice President, H2APEX AG

How you join.

Three steps. The first costs nothing, and after each one you decide whether to go on.
  1. 1

Tell us what you deliver · 2 minutes, free

You tell us your company and the project your solution fits. You learn when municipalities join, and you are the first to know when the standards workshop has a date. Until then no contract, no costs.
  2. 2

Standards workshop · with municipalities and partners

Beforehand we clarify in a conversation where your solution sits in the standard, which partners complement it and what taking part costs. In the workshop you then sit with municipalities that need your solution and with providers that complement you. Together you define what the solution must do.
  3. 3

One framework agreement, many municipalities · tender under the standard

The municipalities jointly tender a framework agreement under the standard. You bid once and deliver to many municipalities, without having to win each one on its own.

Frequently asked questions.

What does it cost?
Registering is free, and so is the positioning in which we place your solution. Taking part in the standards workshop costs a fixed amount that we state before the workshop. If it comes to a framework agreement, .GUT receives a share of the savings that standardisation and pooling bring on both sides. That is not a surcharge on your solution, but part of what would not exist without .GUT.
How mature does my solution have to be?
From the first prototype to a solution established in the market. .GUT is built for established solutions: standard, framework agreement and then delivery to many municipalities. In the positioning we rate the readiness level. If the solution is still early, the municipalities in the workshop tell you whether it hits the mark and what is missing, documented feedback for your investors.
Is this fine under procurement law?
Yes. We comply with procurement law and use the options it already offers today, such as joint tenders and framework agreements. That saves effort on all sides and is rarely used so far. The standard is published before anything is tendered, and it describes requirements, not products.
How does an order come about?
The municipalities that want to use the standard jointly tender a framework agreement. .GUT supports the procurement process as a neutral party; the award stays with the municipalities. You bid once. From the framework agreement the municipalities then call off individually, without a new procedure.
How is our intellectual property protected?
Standardisation happens at the level of requirements, not at the level of your solution. The standard says what a solution must do, not how yours achieves it. You do not have to disclose your technology, your processes or your pricing for that.
Can you get us orders directly?
No. We pass on no details of municipalities and broker no orders. That is exactly why municipalities talk to us, and why you sit at the table with them in the workshop. Orders come about through the framework agreement that the municipalities tender jointly.

Prefer to talk directly? 20 minutes, online.
